Hi Gang,

Looks like this thing is a go again. I’ve been able to keep up with the once a week schedule. You’d think I could step up the frequency a bit more. I mean, on paper I have a lot of time on my hands since my layoff in March. But that never seems to be how it works out day to day.

I’m looking for Graphic Design work. Full time or freelance. www,joekandra.comwww.linkedin.com/in/joekandra/

I’ve been trying an all digital approach with the new strips. In the old days I’d do the line work on bristol board with a dip pen using a Deleter G nib, and then add the text and finish work in Photoshop. (I could never get the characters to look the same frame to frame with digital tools) I’m trying to do it all in Clip Studio Paint EX now (formerly MangaStudio EX) and I’m liking it. It removes some steps and since Anne made it known she’d rather not have the drawing table in the home office after we redid the floors (it’s mostly her office) I don’t have to spend a lot of time in the basement. I’m still learning but I’m liking it.
