Webcomics Weekend

I’ll be attending the Webcomics Weekend in Easthampton MA in March to confer, converse, and otherwise hob-nob with my brother (and sister) cartoonists. It’s only an hour or so from where I live so there is no excuse. I’m not big enough to be on the official guest list but I did make it on the “Cartoonists in Attendance” list. It looks to be a big open studio bash. I’m looking forward to it. I have an old friend who lives out there and has his studio in the Eastworks building. I wonder if he has a couch?

Forum Shmorum

I’ve been having trouble with my forum lately. I’ve had forums on both my old and new sites. They’ve never had much action, but I’ve kept the forums in case people wanted to leave longer form comments. A couple weeks ago I discovered over 300 porn postings in there. I didn’t have the time to wade through all the posts to find the few that might have been just about the comic so I wiped the board clean and posted a notice saying what happened. Now I get a posts about cannibus seeds every couple days. I delete the posters and their messages, maybe they’re spam or bots, I don’t know. I’m thinking the forum might be done. I mean, they don’t even bother to post the pot messages in the general topics area. Grrr.
